Paving the Path for Pioneers
The beginning of the new academic year 2019-20 was witnessed with
grandeur at the 24th Investiture Ceremony of Coorg Public School on 10th July, 2019.
A spirit of unity and dynamism filled the air as the grand ceremony
commenced with the Head Boy, the Head Girl and the Prefects marching to don the mantle of leadership and responsibility and took the oath administered by the Principal Dr. Benny Kuriakose. They pledged to work earnestly and uphold the glory of the institution while receiving the prestigious badges from the Chief Guest Mr. I B Bopanna .
It was a proud moment for all the parents to witness their children being invested with great responsibilities while embarking on a new journey as leaders.
The Chief Guest Mr. I B Bopanna reflected on his past school days and the role played by his parents in moulding his character. He stressed that children should identify their inner essence and potential which in return will help them shape their destiny.
Mr. M M Thimmaiah, President of the Kodagu Academy for Education and Culture presided over the function. He congratulated the leaders and emphasised that knowledge is essentially required to navigate through life. He also stressed on the point that grounded personality helps one to become good leaders and responsible citizens. He congratulated the Principal and the teachers for their consistent effort in nurturing the students and added that COPS has always strived to provide a conducive environment to prepare them to face the challenges of the outer world.
The day culminated with melodious choirs and graceful dances.
